Voorhees Named High Performing Rewards School for Third Time

For a third straight year, Voorhees High School has been named a High-Performing Rewards School by the New Jersey Department of Education.  For this designation, Voorhees had to meet the following criteria:

•           Adequate Yearly Progress for 2011-2012 and Progress Targets for 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 for all students and subgroups;

•           A proficiency rate above 90 percent for all students; and

•           A proficiency rate in the top 10 percent of performance for each eligible subgroup relative to the subgroup’s performance across the state.

To acknowledge this status as an exemplar of Title I schools, the Department of Education has awarded Voorhees a one-time grant to sustain and enhance its Title I programs.

Congratulations to all of the Voorhees staff members for another excellent performance.
