About Our Student Achievements

Students at North Hunterdon and Voorhees High Schools continually score above state averages on standardized tests, such as the SAT, NJ Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA), and NJ Graduation Proficiency Assessment (NJGPA).

Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT)

In the 2022-2023 school year, average SAT scores were as follows (800 represents perfect score on each section):

North Hunterdon – Math = 582 State Average – Math = 537
Voorhees – Math = 582
North Hunterdon – Reading = 592 State Average – Reading = 543
Voorhees – Reading = 598


Advanced Placements Tests

Advanced Placement (AP) Courses are college level academic courses offered in a high school curriculum.  By taking AP courses and the AP exam for the course in the spring, students have the possibility of earning college credit.  If a student scores a 3 or better on the AP exam (on a scale of 1 to 5), they may be able eligible for college credit, though the eligibility requirements vary by college/university.  Annually, over 80% of scores on AP exams taken by North Hunterdon and Voorhees students earn a score of 3 or better.
