North Hunterdon High School is a National Blue Ribbon School that consistently ranks among the top public high schools in New Jersey and the nation. Students regularly earn recognition as National Merit Semifinalists and Commended Students, AP Scholars, and high achievers on the NJSLA and SAT assessments.

Serving students in grades 9–12, North Hunterdon offers a comprehensive and rigorous curriculum that includes College Preparatory, Advanced, Honors, and Advanced Placement courses, along with a wide variety of electives in fine arts, music, world languages, and other areas of interest. Twenty-three AP courses and one honors course are approved through the Seton Hall Project Acceleration Program, and students may also earn college credit through concurrent enrollment opportunities with Raritan Valley Community College. Additional educational pathways are available through Hunterdon County Polytech and the Hunterdon County Vocational School District’s four-year academies, including the Biomedical Sciences Academy housed at North Hunterdon.

Beyond the classroom, students have access to more than 70 clubs, activities, intramurals, and honor societies that encourage leadership, service, creativity, and personal growth. From Model UN and Mock Trial to Interact Club, Student Ambassadors, and Future Business Leaders of America, students are empowered to explore their passions and make meaningful contributions to their school and community.

North Hunterdon is equally committed to fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging. Through its Unified Sports and Special Olympics Unified programs, the school promotes acceptance, unity, and meaningful connections among all students. Comprehensive support services are available to meet diverse student needs, including special education programs, English Language Learner services, intervention supports, tutoring opportunities, school-based mental health services, and transition programs designed to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.

A strong partnership between the school and its families further enriches the North Hunterdon experience. Parents and guardians are actively involved through organizations such as the Parent Teacher Student Association, North Hunterdon Music Association, North Hunterdon Education Foundation, Athletic Booster Club, Principal’s Parent Advisory Committee, and Special Education Parent Advisory Group.
