The North Hunterdon World Language Department is again hosting Spanish Immersion Summer Camp for incoming freshmen who will be taking Spanish next school year. This program is designed to help students build confidence with their language skills and perhaps decide on appropriate placement if they are deciding between Spanish I and Spanish II next year.
All incoming freshmen are welcome from our sending districts. No minimum Spanish required!
Each day will have a specific theme and campers will participate in activities led by current upper-level Spanish students that enable them to build proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
For 3 days (4 hours/day), students will participate in planned activities and transition every 50 minutes, which is similar to the bell schedule next year. Campers will have time to reflect and regroup at the end of each day, highlighting important concepts learned.
This program will run from 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM on August 17th, 18th, and 19th. Students will meet in the Lingo Hut (Room 225) to start each day.
Cost per camper: $75
